chat withour yahoo messanger

Can we chat without Yahoo messenger? Most of us are familiar with the most widely used applications such as Yahoo messenger and Gtalk to carry out chatting with our friends. But here I’ll show how to chat without Yahoo messenger or Gtalk. As we all know the information we exchange with their servers(Yahoo or Gtalk) are recorded and stored along with the corresponding IP addresses. This may hurt our privacy since all the information we exchange while chatting has to pass through a third party server.

Moreover if the matter is highly confidential, then it is necessary to have a totally private chat where the messages are exchanged only between the people involved in the chat and not with any other third party servers. At these situations, it is better to chat without Yahoo messenger.

So, how to carry out a private chat without Yahoo messenger or Gtalk?

For this purpose there exists many softwares that support’s you to host a web-based chat system without any additional software or services. So with these softwares the exchange of messages takes place directly between the two persons engaging in the chat and will not pass through any other third party server. This ensures 100% privacy and eliminates the desperate need to chat with Yahoo messenger.

One of my favorite program for private chat is Easy Chat Server

Easy Chat Server is a Windows program that allows you to host a web-based chat system without any additional software or services. Unlike other chat server, you do not need to install Java. It allows you to build one or more web-based chat rooms on your machine, and provides advanced chat functionalities aiming to offer discussion space for your users, customers and partners.

Here are some of the screenshots of Easy Chat Server.

Rescue Disk To Clean Virus without booting windows

Some virus are very destructive or badly coded until it affects Windows stability. One of the worst thing that could happen is you’re unable to boot in to Windows and not even Safe Mode. That makes it harder for tech people to troubleshoot the problem and ended up in reformatting the hard drive to reinstall Windows. Last year I written a guide on how to clean or remove virus when you can’t boot in to Windows using Hiren’s BootCD.

However, Hiren’s BootCD only has F-Prot and McAfee dos based antivirus, which I personally think that it is not strong or smart enough to detect and remove some viruses. The only antivirus program that I can put my trust on is Kaspersky.

Good news is Kaspersky has started offering Rescue Disk to scan and remove virus on computer without the need of booting in to Windows.

Download the ISO disk from here

DISABLE RECYCLE BIN

You can delete files immediately, without having them move to the Recycle Bin first.

Go to the Start menu, select Run... and type 'gpedit.msc'; then select User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, Windows Explorer and find the Do not move deleted files to the Recycle Bin setting. Set it. Poking around in gpedit will reveal a great many interface and system options, but take care -- some may stop your computer behaving as you wish. (Professional Edition only).

how to egnore a pc to restart ?

Windows XP is designed to automatically reboot each time an error occurs such as a BSoD. Although this may be nice for errors that do not occur often, users who have a re-occurring error may wish to identify the error to troubleshoot it. Below are the steps on how this feature can be disabled and enabled in Windows XP.

From the desktop right-click on My Computer.

Click the Properties option.

In the System Properties window click the Advanced tab.

In Advanced click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery.

In the Startup and Recovery window uncheck the Automatically restart check box.

Click Ok.

Now if the computer generates and error it should not automatically restart and enable you to display any errors your computer may be experiencing.

How do i advertise my webhosting business for free

There are many ways to promote your business for free. The free ways involve "sweat equity' -- meaning you must work hard to get the results.

You want to put your message in front of the right eyes -- meaning potential customers.

Here are a few suggestions:

1. Write articles about your topic. For example, you could write an article titled 'Things to consider when choosing a web host. " Submit tyour article to the article directories. Place a link to your web site in the signature.

2. Create free blogs and Squidoo lenses about web hosting. Link them back to your main web site.

3. Join joint venture giveaways. Be sure to collect email addresses. Give away a free product, which of coruse contains advertisements and links to your web site.

4. Create a video about web hosting. Put it on YouTube. Encorage people to pass it around or give it away. This is called viral advertising.

5. Join appropriate forums (such as the Warrior Forum) and promote your site in your signature.

6. Send out press releases using online services such as PR Web.

I invite you to check the link below. It lists 30 ways to attract free and targeted traffic.

Use GMail offline with Google Gears

Gmail has introduced its latest Labs feature called offline Gmail to enable e-mail access even when you are not connected to the Internet.

While this might sound uber geeky, the concept is simple enough when you actually use it. Oh, and the “offline” mode is already available in a simpler form if you happen to use Outlook or any other email client with Gmail POP access.

Gmail uses its Google Gears open source web application to enable the “offline” mode. Currently, Google lists Firefox 2, 3, and the Internet Explorer 7 in its list of supported browsers. Strangely, there is no mention of Google’s own, the Chrome! However, it might be because Chrome support is obvious.

Browse Gmail offline with Google Gears

What it does

The feature, which needs to be enabled from under the “Labs” option under “Settings,” downloads e-mails onto your computer and allows access even when there is no Internet connectivity. Users will be able to access most of their emails, reply to them, and view starred and unread messages, just like they do when Gmail is online. When you perform an action that needs web access, Gmail will queue the action and will execute it as soon the connection is restored. While it might not sound very exciting initially, I, for once, can realize how useful this might turn out to be. For many users, Gmail has become a data center, and I suspect that there are many people out there who would want to have a look at their mails and archives even when not connected to the Internet. The best thing is that once this feature is installed, Gmail will be able to go offline or online by detecting the network status, so you do not need to switch on/off the Offline mode manually. There is also this “Flaky Connection Mode” that detects a slow connection and uses the local cache for accessing data, and only uses the server when Gmail needs web access – like when hitting the send button.

Not all Gmail features work, though, in the offline mode. What does work, however, are the sending and replying to emails, searching your archives, and the much-needed auto-complete function. You will not be able to add attachments or add/manage contacts. However, most users will be able to live with such minor inconveniences.
